Stockholders

As many of you know, Erik and I volunteer with the youth group at our church, and this Sunday we were busy helping with Stockholders, which is the annual fundraising event. This year's theme was "Hollywood" and it was so much fun! Basically, there is a fun event to make some money (this year you could make a donation and nominate two people to act out a famous movie scene up on stage, or they could match your donation to get out of doing it), the youth put on a play, and there is also a free dinner for everyone (instead of dinner we had an Oscar's "after-party" with lots of yummy hors d'vours).

Andrew and Heather had to act out a scene from Shrek. Heather was "Donkey" and Andrew was "Shrek." They did a great job!

Visiting Tennessee

We spent last weekend in Piney Flats, TN, with Kevin and Becky, a.k.a. 'Buelo and Yaya. Even though Malachi was a little under the weather the entire weekend, we had a great time just being together and it was very refreshing to get away from the snow and cold of southern Ohio!

Post-Kids Parties

Over the past few months, I've realized that entertaining isn't quite what it used to be! Those of you who know Erik and me, know that we love to invite friends and family over and host parties and get-togethers.

Well, at our two latest (New Year's and Superbowl) I noticed that there are more and more kids around each time and that I and the other girls (and sometimes the guys, too) don't really hang out until the kiddies go off to bed. Instead we feed, play with, discipline, entertain, laugh at, (you get the idea!) our little ones. Don't worry...we have a great time together and I'm already excited about our next party, probably Malachi's birthday next month!

We did get to watch the last 5 minutes of the game...that's the best part anyways!

More Snow!

We finally have internet back so I thought I would post a few pictures of the snow and ice we got last week. It really was beautiful!

Some people around here still had no power as of yesterday! Not only is that bad because of the temperature outside, but when you have a well that also means no water! Luckily we were able to camp out at Mom and Dad's for the 24 hours that our electricity was off.

Malachi didn't let the weather dampen his spirits...he loved playing in the snow and making "marshmallow snowballs"!
