Piano Lesson Update

This video is Malachi playing the first song he's learned in his piano lessons. Although it's not perfected yet, he wanted to go ahead and share it with you all!

Far Away Friends

This week we were able to spend some time with the Sikoras while they were in Ohio visiting.

First off we celebrated Millie's first birthday (which actually happens to be today - Happy Birthday, Millie!) on Sunday. I think she loved her cake!

Then they were nice enough to invite us up for dinner on Monday night. Thank you, Knisleys, for a wonderful dinner and some time to catch up a bit! Heather and I attempted a picture of the four kiddos. This is how well I was able to capture the moment!

Family Day

Last Wednesday we enjoyed Erik's day off by taking a fun family trip to Aha! in Lancaster.

Elliott was satisfied in the "Plop Zone" for a while. Then he realized there were bigger and better things out there!

Check out our scary Power Ranger...or at least that's what I think he is!

I guess someone's been paying attention to the grocery list!

My favorite exhibit is the water table. I wish I could build my own for the boys to play with!

Elliott also got to enjoy the water table in these ingenious baby chairs, although next time I'll definitely bring a change of clothes for him!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's my attempt at getting a cute picture of the boys together: I should have known not to attempt this right before naptime...even with candy as bribery!

Lazy Weekend

After spending all day Friday clearing the germs out of this house, we welcomed 'Buelo and Yaya for the weekend. It was fun being together and seeing the boys' excitement at having someone other than me and Erik to play with! Thanks for visiting and making special memories with our boys...even though some of the activities may not have been mom-approved.

Ahem, Kevin, I think I hear Malachi throwing things into his fan during naptime as I type!!

Time to Organize

Between being sick, having sick kids and baking cakes we haven't had time for much else around here lately. In fact, my house is starting to show how little attention I've paid to cleaning! Lucky for me I've rubbed off on my boys and their new favorite thing to do is "organize." Or at least Malachi is suddenly very interested in putting everything away in an orderly fashion. Elliott, on the other hand, likes to pull everything out of the cabinets and play!

Complaints

I've heard some grumbling that I've been a slacker on the blog lately. True. We're just lacking any inspiration at all here. Yesterday was the first day since before Christmas that our yard was almost bare of snow. Then today we woke up to yet another blanket of white. I'm hoping the groundhog's prediction is right this year...I'm ready to plant some flowers!
