Paris was a whirlwind! We had exactly 48 hours from when our plane landed until the next one took off and we made the most of it. We walked all over, learned what French foods not to order (foie gras), saw some art and as many sights as possible, wandered through various neighborhoods, shopped on the Champs-Élysées, ate some delicious crepes, rode the metro and took lots of pictures. Here are some of the highlights:
Ahh, Valencia. It was so good to be back in the city that was my home during my first year of college and even more special to introduce Erik to one of my favorite places. To make our day even better, they were celebrating their signature festival, Fallas, the day we were there. As Erik said about one part of the festivities (la Mascletà) that we experienced, "it was exactly what I expected it to be and infinitely better!"
Erik and I were so fortunate to take a trip last month to Europe. This is a trip that we've talked and dreamed about since we've been married and we are so thankful for everyone who helped make it happen! Our first destination was Spain. Here is a photo recap of Barcelona:
