Elliott practiced some new tricks last week while Malachi was in Tennessee:

I guess I'm just gonna have to admit that my little man is growing up and start giving him more than those little jars of mush!

Let's Swim!

I'm missing my big boy today since he's in Tennessee with his Yaya, 'Buelo, Aunt Jessica, Austin and Whitney, so I thought I'd post this video of him swimming from the 4th of July.

We are so lucky to have an open invitation to use the Knisley's pool any time we want - Thank you John and Jackie! Now I just have to figure out how to be less busy so we can spend EVERY day swimming.

Erik and I celebrated our 7th anniversary this week and what an amazing 7 years it's been!

8 Months

Yep, Elliott is now 8 months (and a few days) old! I know I say it every month, but time is flying by! He is such a cute little guy - just look at that grin! He is constantly smiling and charms just about everyone he sees. He's sleeping well, rolling and scooting around a lot and talking up a storm these days. He loves to be close to his big brother and his daddy. He's eating just about anything I put in front of him and especially likes to feed himself, which he is able to do quite well. I'm pretty sure he understands what "no" means already, but that usually doesn't deter him from whatever he's doing. He'll just smile that cute little smile and continue on with business. He's not crawling yet, but can get to a sitting position by himself and can rock back and forth on his hands and knees. I'm hoping he'll hold off on the crawling milestone until after our vacation at the beginning of next month...I want to relax a little and I don't think that'll be happening once this child can get around easily!

4th of July

We had a great celebration on the 4th of July at the annual Falls Road Farm Fireworks Extravaganza. Thank you John and Jackie for hosting yet another fantastic party. The fireworks were probably the best yet - great job Matt and Blake!
It was HOT this year, so the boys had some fun in the pool.And, of course, there was a competitive game of pool basketball.
All the kids were fascinated by the sparklers.
This is what Elliott thought of the fireworks. I'm still not sure how he slept through them, but he didn't even flinch!

Congrats to our friends Nate and Mary Allison who were married last Friday!

They had an absolutely perfect day and everything was beautiful. They also happened to choose the most adorable flower girl and ring bearer ever!
