Circle S Farms

I'm behind on the blog. Again. And I have about a thousand other things I should be doing right now, but since I'm procrastinating anyways I thought I would do something a little productive! Last Monday Erik and I took the boys to Circle S Farms in Grove City. We had a great day together playing in the hay barn, running through the sunflower and corn mazes, seeing some farm animals and taking a hayride to a pumpkin patch. The boys loved it and it was fun to enjoy a beautiful fall day together!
Who wouldn't have fun with the handsome guys?!

Fall Festival of Leaves

This past weekend was the 44th annual Fall Festival of Leaves in Bainbridge. As always we had a fun yet exhausting weekend. Erik had to work late on Friday and Saturday, as well as all Sunday afternoon. I also worked all day Saturday and a little on Sunday. On Saturday morning Erik defended his title in the festival 5k and I also ran it this year. The boys got to ride rides, play games and eat junk food a little each day which resulted in too much sugar and too little napping.

I didn't get many good pictures, but here are a few of the kids on the rides.
Adeline and Elliott
 Adeline, Walker, Elliott and Malachi
 Malachi and his friend, Carson
My friend, Lindsay (Carson's mom) was nice enough to let Elliott ride with her and her daughter, Bella
Malachi loved this ride even though he wouldn't smile for the camera
Whew, it's exhausting just thinking about the weekend...good thing it's only three days every year!

Fun Days

I don't have many pictures from this week but thought I'd share a little fun. Elliott and Jonas got to ride the Tonka truck at the outlet malls after shopping with me and Grammy Jane:
Malachi is still on a painting kick and this time he chose to buy some face paints. Here he is with his scary tiger face:
Hope you all have a great week ahead!

Busy Life

Whew, things have been busy around here! No complaining though, we're having fun and enjoying this season. Here are a few highlights from the past couple of weeks:

Hiking at Paint Creek with Yaya
It was a beautiful day and Elliott did great until the very end when Erik had to carry him.
Spirit week at Paint Valley. Malachi chose Texas A&M for "favorite team day"
Our silly boy on "mismatched day"
Jonas enjoying his bath
 Playing with Daddy
Aunt Laura visited and introduced Jonas to Rice Krispie treats. I need to add them to his list of preferred foods!
Our little guy is getting braver and braver but still won't walk on his own yet.
And speaking of brave, check out Malachi on the zipline! He's definitely our daredevil.
And Elliott is our clown. Check out this face!
We have a lot of things planned for the next few weeks so I'll try to keep up with the blog and share all the fun we're having!

Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Jonas' birthday yesterday with a family lunch after church. Because Jonas was not a huge fan of his smash cake a few weeks ago I decided to do something a little different for his cake - a donut cake! He (and his brothers and cousins) LOVED it! The book in the background was our gift to Jonas - he'll appreciate it someday! It has pictures from his first year and everyone at the party was able to write a special message to him at the end of it.
Grammy Jane celebrated a birthday (81st!) last Friday and Aunt Meg (29th?) will have a birthday on Thursday so each of them had a cake too.
Jonas makes this funny face quite often!
He double-fisted his donuts...probably to make sure his brothers and cousins didn't get them!
Mommy and Daddy with the birthday boy:
What a crew! As you can see not everyone was a fan of having to take a picture!
I forgot to let Jonas open presents during his party because he was ready for a nap as soon as he finished his donuts. He had fun opening his new books from Yaya when he woke up though.
Thank you to all our family who came to celebrate with us yesterday. It's so fun to get together and make special memories!
