Happy 4th Birthday, Malachi!

Today was a day that Malachi has been anticipating for quite a while. We had a wonderful day full of special memories. First of all, Yaya and 'Buelo came to visit for the weekend - which was also greatly anticipated. We began our morning with a special breakfast ordered by Malachi - French toast. After breakfast Malachi got to play in the basement with his trains - his favorite activity, which is even better with people who will play along! Next was lunch followed by a short hike in our woods. Everyone rested a bit in the afternoon in order to restore energy for the birthday party....and what a party it was! We had lots of friends, lots of food, lots of cake, lots of Thomas, lots of noise...well, you get the idea!

Thank you so much to all our family and friends who made this day so special for Malachi and the rest of us. We love you all so much!

Erin, the play area in the basement reminds me of our basement in the days of pre-schoolers. Remember all the hours you all played in our basement? With concrete walls and floor, what harm could be done?

Love the cake carrying all the candies. Cute.
Malachi...let's hope you can ride a bike better than your mamma. Maybe your daddy should teach you how to ride.

I can't believe you are 4 years old Malachi!!! I love that new bike! Maybe you should ride up to the "Knisley" house in the summer! I agree with Heather... let your daddy teach you how to ride! Unless running up trees and into mailboxes sounds like fun to you!!! ;)

We already decided Erin shouldn't be the one to give bike lessons! I forsee some Knisley hill riding in his future for sure.

Happy Birthday Malachi! I can't believe it has been four years!
